Pregnancy update: 29 Weeks and the Joys of Bedrest

So, I am 29 weeks along now and pretty excited about it, but as some of you may know my water has broke at 30 weeks with both of my last 2 pregnancies. I am feeling a little anxiety about turning 30 weeks especially since it is fast approaching, but I have been on bedrest for the last 2 weeks and will be on bedrest for the next 7 weeks if I can make it that far! I have accumulated some things to do while on bedrest and that has been helping the time pass more quickly, but I am usually a busy body and like to get things done, just like anyone else I do have my lazy days and I do enjoy those as well, but this 2 weeks worth of "lazy days" are starting make me a little crazy! I can't complain, I feel great, but then again I usually do around this time right before my water breaks! I must say at times I think it would be easier to be on bedrest if I felt sick and didn't want to do anything, but lay down. I also remember my morning sickness days and then again I'm thankful that I feel good and that I just have to tell myself to lay down because this just might help keep this baby in here a little longer! I know that if I am doing what the doctor suggests and with a little prayer and faith this just might work, but if it doesn't at least I won't feel guilty and be wondering if I was just doing too much and I will know that it was just meant to happen again and hopefully everything will still be ok!

This is a recent picture of me prego (just for you Joni). I have "big days" and "small days", but for the most part I feel pretty good and don't feel too big yet!

This is a side picture of my belly right now, so far no stretch marks, but I know it is still too soon to say that! I will say that body butter is my best friend right now :).

Oh, so here are some of the rules of my bedrest. I can shower once a day, get up to go to the bathroom, of course, sit up some, drive myself to the doctor's office for visits, the doctor even told me since I have little kids at home that it would be reasonable to get up to get them a snack or drink or even pour them some cereal or make them a sandwich, but that I shouldn't be on my feet too long. So, I can't cook big meals, no vacuuming or mopping, Bret does the laundry and I fold it. I can sit or lay down, but I should mostly be laying down. It is a lot of fun especially when I think my kids think that I'm just being lazy when they ask me to come jump on the trampoline and I say that I can't. It has really been nice outside and my kiddos love playing outside so they really look forward to Bret being home and working on his garden and the kids get to play outside with him. My Grandma was here this last week and she took them outside to play, but I think she might have been worn out when she went home, but we'll see her next week and she if she is still willing to come regularly, lol. Well, this is a picture of some bows I recently made for my girls. The little bug bows were a new one for me, but I printed off instructions online and sat on the couch and made some, it was fun and my girls love them! I also have been spending my time reading the scriptures, reading "The Baby Wisperer", crotcheting blankets and burp cloths, watching cooking shows and movies, and just laying down and taking a nap. Tyler is so funny he stuffed his little stuffed animal, Trista, (a little monkey he got for Valentine's Day) in his shirt and would lay by me on the couch and if I were thinking I would have had someone take a picture, it was so cute! Well, so far so good, but hopefully I can keep you updated and I will make it a bit farther this pregnancy!
