Thankgiving

This Thanksgiving was great! We went to my family's house for Thanksgiving dinner mostly because we started a few new traditions this year. We ate BBQ ribs and ham roast instead of the usual turkey. It was awesome! I think that is why I love my family so much because they don't always do everything traditional. My family also wanted to start another tradition this year . . . A "Couple's Basketball tournament". I think the guys had something to do with starting this tradition, too bad it was after Levi left and not before.

This is a picture of all of us after the basketball tournament, we weren't smart enough to take one before we got all sweaty, but I guess we had to get one anyways! I don't think I had played basketball since I was in high school and I don't think that I was all that good then. Not having played basketball since high school was Joni and Heather's excuse too, but it really hadn't been that long for them compared to me. I don't know if my mom ever played, but she just fouled everybody to get the ball and I think we let her because we were afraid. LOL!

This is a picture of Dad, Mom, and Kaitlin they were a team since Kaitlin didn't have a "partner". I guess Levi would have been her designated partner since he isn't married yet, but he was in the MTC. I guess it is good she doesn't actually have a partner yet since she is only 13. Mom, Dad, and Kaitlin didn't win a single game, but they put up a good fight. I am actually surprised they didn't win, my dad was making shots like crazy and he didn't even look like he was trying that hard and they cheated a little so I'm not sure how they lost.

Heather and Jake won the tournament! Mostly because of Heather, no offense Jake. LOL. Seriously though if it wasn't for Heather bringing the ball in I don't know how Jake would have ever made any of those shots!

I just have so much fun with my family no matter what we are doing, but I just really enjoy being together and I really think that is what the holidays are for . . . to remind us of what should really be important in our lives FAMILY.
